Best and Cheapest PS3 First-Person Shooter Games of the Past (Excluding Anything Non-Human or Futuristic)

Question (paraphrased) from Kazimierz from Ontario, Canada:

I was just given a broken PlayStation 3 that I’m going to try to repair for my own use, and I need a game to test on it.  I want to buy one that I can turn out using if I can get the system to work.

I’ve never bought or played a video game on a console, so I have no idea what to buy.  What I’m looking for is a game where I can be a sniper, and preferably one where it’s more real (i.e. no cyborgs or futuristic stuff).  I don’t want to buy a new game in case I can’t get the system to work, so I’m looking for an older one that’s cheap (around $10.00) but is still good.

Since you guys are students, I thought that maybe you’d be able to give me some advice.  Can you?  And if so, what do you think I should get?

Introduction

Of course we can give you some advice, Kazimierz!

In this post, we’re going to pass on a list of the best and cheapest PlayStation 3 first-person shooter games (excluding all games that do not involve humans or are set in the future).

Our Findings

Now, even though we are students, we haven’t played all of these games.  As a result, we can’t guarantee that our rankings are 100% accurate for you.  So, we recommend that you take a look at some of the reviews yourself to see if what we’ve come up with matches what you were looking for.

Since you’re looking for opportunities to be a sniper, our rankings are more favourable for games with larger map sizes because this gives a sniper a better opportunity to set up and pick off shots.  Otherwise, the rest of our evaluation is based on the level of quality we attach to each game’s characteristics and overall gameplay—either based on reviews or from our own experience—and the price of the game.

We hope all of this helps!  And good luck with repairing the PS3!
